OT - Arctic, Antarctic, and Global Warming

Studies (recent article in NATURE, a UK scientific journal) show that there is a long term climate cycle causing ocean current changes that yo-yo polar warming/cooling. When the North Pole warms, the SP cools, and v.v.

This effect is about 7 times stronger than the warming caused by increase in greenhouse gases, but greenhouse gases are skewing the long-term cycle.

Net result is the N Hemisphere is warming more and faster than global warming alone, but S. Pole (where BTW my son is currently working!) is continuing to build ice.
