Now you're just back pedaling. At least stick with your original position instead of folding so quickly.

Gee Whiz.

One individual can make a huge difference when there is a system that allows for this. This is the problem in the US. Our system lets Dubya do very unpopular things, like add more troops to Iraq or look at first class mail without a warrant whenever he pleases, which gives him as an individual a ridiculous amount of power over others.

If the guy over in North Korea got up tomorrow morning and decided he wanted to do something different, he'd have a decent chance of making it come about short of, say, a coup. A million North Koreans sitting around wanting to do something as individuals would have much less of a chance of making things change.

Our countries are too large to sustain this pyramid structure with one nitwit at the top, or even a handful of nitwits at the top, making decisions for hundreds of millions or even a billion other people. When we're lucky and get a decent set of people with decent intentions we get reasonable results. The last 6 years, however, proves that disaster comes with a handful of individuals with very, very, very bad intentions.

You really don't think that Bush and Co have any good intentions for the country do you? Pulllllllllleeeeeeze let's not be as children any longer.
