Hah! I don't make $500K or more per year. Increasing the tax rate by 1% among those who earn less than $500K per year doesn't bring in as much tax revenue as increases the tax rate by 1% for those that earn more than $500K per year.

You know why? Because under Bush, the wealth and power in this country has shifted towards the elite at a faster pace than at any time in the history of this country.

We don't need to be extreme about it, but a graduated tax is a good and healthy thing aimed at keeping the middle class healthy in order to safeguard our Democracy.
