On 2nd though..I"d want my Browning 12 with the short barrel and no plug.....with some slugs and some small buckshot. Might be the best choice for home defense. You always have to be careful of overpenetration. A friend and colleague lost his daughter. She was getting dressed in her apartment when some bastard across the street abused his firearm with an uncontrolled discharge that went right through the walls. I define firearms abuse as any uncontrolled discharge. People get one chance to learn the possible consequences, and the muzzle had better be pointed in a safe direction when that happens. After that, uncontrolled discharges should never happen again.
