What were the real reasons for Bush originally going into Iraq? It certainly wasn't to find WMDs or to fight terrorism. The only things that come to mind are to set up a U.S. power base in the Middle East to spread Christianity. This was in fact a renewal of the Crusades. Add to this the second largest oil reserves in the world are there and you have a tempting target for American Imperialism. This is without doubt the darkest period in our Nation's history. Just remember we happily put the sociopaths into office with the help of a Supreme Court coup. Will we ever recover? jon
