Earth Biofuels Subsidiary Awarded LNG Supply Agreement with Omnitrans

DALLAS, Jan 16, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Earth LNG, Inc. today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Applied LNG Technologies USA L.L.C. ("ALT"), has been awarded a five year contract for the sale of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Omnitrans, contingent upon Omnitrans' receipt of certain insurance certificates and endorsements from ALT.
Earth LNG is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Earth Biofuels, Inc. (OTCBB: EBOF).

Omnitrans is the public transit agency serving the San Bernardino Valley in Southern California. Founded in 1976 through a joint powers agreement, Omnitrans carries approximately 15 million passengers each year throughout its 480-square mile service area. ALT has sold LNG to Omnitrans since 2002.

Under terms of the new agreement, ALT will deliver transportation grade LNG each month to Omnitrans' East Valley facility. ALT delivers the fuel via cryogenic tanker truck from its LNG production facility in Topock, Arizona to specialized fueling stations from which the customer's fleet vehicles are fueled.

Transportation grade LNG helps companies meet strict emission standards in the state of California. Vehicles fueled by the transportation grade LNG produce approximately one-sixth of the nitrous oxides (NOx) and up to 15 percent less greenhouse gases than comparable petroleum diesel fueled vehicles.
