some of them instead turn arrogant - like Sean Penn - and use their high visibility to push their ideas, which often happen to be pretty superficial and ignorant.

When you look at the BG that most actors come out of, it's not surprising to see them very liberal. Their courses are taught by Liberal teachers, especially in the Arts. The "Businessmen" they deal with are, for the most part, the worst sort of short-term promoters, making a living by screwing labor. They are all members of very tough unions.

It's amazing that any end up conservative.

I'm sorry, I think Milton Friedman was worth 50 times the salary of mr penn, and a great surgeon more than any 3 baseball players. I think mere entertainers including sports players and others are simply way overvalued, and that we undervalue the truly valuable like teachers, nurses and people who think. Politicians are often overvalued imo.
