I assume then that the Dems did some polling and found that although most of the public is against the surge, most of the public is also against cutting off funding.

Otherwise, there would be no reason for the Dems to hesitate. Just cut off funding for Iraq. No funds, no war.

I understand you oppose the war. And your far from being alone, the war is unpopular; but "the biggest disaster in American history" is really over the top.
