Sometimes I'm tempted to put together a list of passages from the Bible that indicate the world is flat and see how many religious conservatives I can convince or at least question whether the world really is flat.


Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are all based on flat earth cosmology, since they have sacred days and place significance on the correct determination of such. Read the O.T. Jewish laws on Sabbath observance, than ask yourself if they make any sense at all on a round world. Of course not!

You might have noticed the row over Saddam's execution wrt to Islamic holidays, and how they are determined (lunar observance). The history of time determination, astronomy, and chronology all owe a great deal to religiously inspired zealots, who, for religious reasons, really needed to know what time and day it was, since God required obedience or death in that regard. All of which only makes sense if the world is flat, and is clear nonsense on a round world.
