Yes.

There is much that needs doing all over the world, (not just in that region).

But, I wouldn't fear that there will be a 'total pullout from the Middle East --- region is far too important.

(And, as I noted: many US bases have significant local support and will be *increased*, not decreased. But... I wouldn't count on that full one dozen huge 'permanent' bases that we are pouring concrete for in Iraq remaining unchanged. Likely the Shiites will get to keep what we are building in the South [begging the question: why are we helping Iran?], there will be no good reason to base in 'hot' Sunni regions while they are 'civil war-ing' with the Shiites - better to let them fight... but Kurdistan, Kuwait, Turkey, etc. are all viable. Some of the rest though, are just *Billions* down the drain.)
