I agree Karen. After I lost my wife I deliberately avoided situations where I might meet someone I would get interested in, or vice versa. A few years ago, I realized I had a lady friend at church. We had, at that time, known each other for over 5 years. We were both cautiously attracted to each other. Now, we have a wonderful friendship without threats. We both do NOT want to remarry. We're very happy with lunches, dinners, concerts, plays and stuff.... then we go to our separate homes. Been working well now for over 4 years. Of course, we're both 70. This arrangement wouldn't probably be enough satisfaction for Gloop. I suspect he'd need more "action".
