Any opinions about Mark Skousen ? He seems to sometimes be in the same things as Doug Casey.

Skousen and Casey have been hanging out in the same tight group since at least the mid 80's. Casey was more flamboyant than Skousen by a long shot but I actually didn't follow Skousen that much.

"As a personal note, many of the big names in libertarian circles got their start writing for Inflation Survival Letter, including Doug Casey, Adrian Day, Richard Band, Gary Alexander, Jim McKeever, and Don Hauptman. Mark Skousen was one of them. Bob gave Mark his start in the investment world, as managing editor of ISL from 1975-1980. Even after Mark left ISL to start his own newsletter, Forecasts & Strategies,"

I guess I have read things by Mark Skousen, but I don't recall right now. Do you have any links?

It really does bother me more and more to be in the same corner with Casey. Dines is an egotistical jerk at times, but Casey is plain crazy at times. Or at least he was plain crazy when he was advising investors to avoid the stock market because (in 1980) the Dow was "grossly overpriced" at 800.
