I think Dines wants to prove that he is right, and much more right than any one else, ever. That's good for us, because my guess he has more than enough money to retire.

If I remember correctly, Casey has had some association with the "survivalist" movement, in addition to the fringe of the gold bugs.

I don't have any current links to Mark Skousen.

One thing that is interesting that I have seen - someone who was pushing gold in the popular press or TV six or seven years ago was regarded as a marginal fringe person, and labeled one of those "black helicopter" and "tin foil hat" people.

The same advice presented by James Grant or Jim Rodgers at $ 600 per person meeting in New York, where most attendees are hedge fund managers, family office advicers, and other well connected rich people. It was regarded pretty much as sound and conservative in that setting.

There's more than a little double standard here, and I think giving useful advice to the average citizen can you a person marginalized.
