With Obama in the race the question for the American people would be one of choosing between vision or the experience. Looking at experience, we have the classic example of Bush Sr. who ascended the Presidency with a very strong resume. But he failed to get re-elected. And then we have the visionary Reagan who could delegate very well, did choose the right team with the likes of Baker, Schlutz, Weinberger, Meese etc.

I would say Obama is more Reganesque.

Earth to Barack: Coal kills
Published by Josh Lynch January 10th, 2007 in Uncategorized, Government, Dirty Energy, Corruption, Youth Leaders, Oil, Impacted Communities
The coal industry is pulling out all the stops to re-frame one of the dirtiest and most greenhouse-gas intensive energy resources as something that can look miraculously clean and green. Any respectable third grader knows that there is no such thing as clean dirt, even if it is fossilized. Sadly, some of the most powerful members of the new U.S. Congress are starting to drink the Kool-Aid from Big Coal, including Senator Barack Obama. I have felt sick all week mulling over what could make someone I put so much hope in compromise the promise of a clean energy future by choosing to trumpet a Coal-to-Liquid Fuel Promotion Act in his first week back in office.
