Well, the constant problem in mixing digital and analog is you have to keep the grounds separated. The digital side has pretty noisy ground, high capacitive grounds. Analog needs the opposite. Tying them together means that the analog signal quality goes down the tubes.

Well then suppose we keep the AMP out of the box and let VISTA MCE or something else handle the computer oriented stuff receivers currently do. Actually that might be a good compromise since it would probably offend the CE guys less and provide more flexibility to people that already own receivers/AMPs?

Anyway, I still find most of the receiver functions redundant with what a PC can do. I think I'll give Bill a call and see what he thinks of my ideas to include the functions in Vista MCE.
