When I lived in Teheran they heated with Naft, a kerosene I suppose. But pollution was terrible. They have good Chicken kebab, Shish Taouk, or the National dish, chelo kebab, a kebab of marinated lamb is ok. Used to be lots of good restaurants there and you could get drink also.

I suspect it is a bit different now 30 years later,
Sediran was our local company, made lots of money too I was told.
