You are one dumb SOB. Didn't I just say that guys like Somoza, and others, were, like, bad dudes, dude? And sure, we supported them. Was it wrong? Yeah, probably, if your measuring sticks are democracy and free markets. But the left does not know or seem to care that our national self interest also has to be a part of all considerations, e.g., the Saudis, who are not exactly paragons of democracy. Do we give them the finger or do we work with them because they have something we need and need badly? Yeah, go tell the Saudis that unless they change into a democracy that looks like Denmark's, we are going to boycott their oil. You guys want to wallow in the past, think it will be the future. The point is that the left offers nothing, is intellectually bankrupt, and does not appreciate very real dangers.
