"Fighter jet signals China's military advances By Peter Ford, Staff writer of The Christian Science Monitor
Thu Jan 11, 3:00 AM ET

A sleek, swept-wing fighter-bomber dubbed the "Jian-10," unveiled here last week, is more than just another jet plane. It is China's calling card, announcing Beijing's arrival among the top ranks of military manufacturers..."

Yes....and I said when you don't have wars to fight, you can make big advances in many things not just military stuff. China is making advances not only in this fighter but in other areas as well. Why? They are not blowing their money on a stupid war in Iraq. Why is that concept so hard to understand?

And frankly, I could give a damn that military progress goes faster during war because advances in other areas usually come to a standstill. I am so tired of the narrowing thinking of military hawks in this country. Its what gets this country into trouble every twenty years.
