Then he wants to increase the use of ethanol by 5 times? So that takes us from miniscule use to 5 times miniscule use, which still equals miniscule use.

Its hardly minuscule use. Maybe E100 or even E85 has minuscule use, but E10 is very common.

Of course that's an estimate, but even if its only half of that it would be a quarter of the nations corn crop. I fail to see how you can consider that minuscule.

After watching him speak last night, I agree. I would be surprised if he actually offered specific legislation or worked with the hill to get something done. Just more rhetoric...
