You can use every trick in the book, but the stain of the big lie won't wash off. There was NO nuclear program in Iraq as we invaded. That much we knew with some certainty. NO NUCLEAR PROGRAM -- and yet those who would try to defend the big lie will scrape the bottom of the barrel in search of lipstick to put on this pig. Welcome to the bottom of the barrel.

He had deployed them and he had used them, against rebellions in Iraq. But there was little good evidence he was going to use them against the US. That's the point. The "threat", is the threat to the US. IF Bill thought there was a big threat, then Bill was wrong- but at least he didn't invade Iraq over it, so you have to give him that. I'd say the same for papa Bush. Good decisions by both leaders- a rep and a dem.
