The GOP is now the party of Old Dixie, lies and corruption. McCain had a chance to resusitate the GOP, but he drank the Bushie Koolaid, even though the same type of Bushie smearvets smeared McCain in 2000. What a sell-out McCain has become. McCain lied to the nation about Kerry vs. Bush. He lied that we needed more troops in Iraq which is already a lost cause even with 150,000 more troops. And he pandered to the racists and nut cases of the far right. The GOP's only hope for salvation is to nominate a harsh critic of Bush's, like Chuck Hagel. He could probably win.
