Then go fix the part of Medicare that isn't working but provide base level service to ALL. What is wrong with that? Err, it would cost a lot of money. The basic problem Medicare's approach to cost control is to declare what they are willing to pay. This is substantially below what most medical providers like to get for their services. So they stop dealing with Medicare patients. Remember how this discussion started? I said you can't simply declare wealth.
