When I had my business, I was fortunate to have a Teacher wife in California where they treat them like it is heaven. In your situation I think anything more than a very good 2000 dollar deductable major medical is foolish.

I read somewhere recently (perhaps here?) that Sams Club provides low-cost group health insurance to small businesses that are members of Sams Club. Might be worth looking into.
