My response would be more questions. How much risk can you take? What's your time frame? Are you looking for producers or explorers? Are you more of a trader or more of an investor? But off the top of my head, some of the research-worthy mining stocks that trade on US exchanges include CAU, SA, LMC, URZ, USEG, CDE, HL, MGN, SIL, and MMG. Chime in others please! LC

I would take a look at Teck Cominco. They are one of the top zinc producers in the world, but you also get copper and coal, oil sands, gold and joint ventures/investments with over 50 junior mining companies. Trades as TCK on the NYSE.
