Why are you attacking me personally? You don't know me.

And you keep avoiding my original question.

BTW, Gates Foundation appears to be going primarily off-shore.
I'm talking about the poor and programs for the poor in this country.

Try it, give something back, it will make you feel better about yourself, and your fellow man.

Nobody will disagree with you. Charity and compassion are terrific qualities and should be encouraged. Acts of kindness will never go out of style.

But we are talking about working towards creating a society where there is a safety net for every citizen to live with dignity. We can not let any citizen die from thirst, hunger, or inclement weather. It is impractical to think that this can be done through volunteerism.
