Without any doubt the US was prepared to give money and ordinance, and in unlimited amounts but, according to the argument, they were not prepared to "mix in" themselves. Thus Israel lost.

Sure, the US is delighted to give more military equipment for use in Iran -- and Xymphora's argument is that that's all they will do. And I argue that if the US was serious about a military strike on Iran they would have done it already, not just talk about it while Iran's defences get stronger and stronger.

Further, with each passing day while the conflict remains unresolved Israel grows weaker as more and more settlers either don't come or leave because of fear for their lives. So, in at least two ways while the US and Israel procrastinate the balance of power moves in favor of Iran.
