Israelis can already sleep well because they somehow managed to secure Southern Lebanon by drawing UN/EU troops into guarding it. Now for Hezbollah to rain rockets over Israel it's first necessary to cut a path among French, Italian, Belgian,... troops stationed south of the Litani river --not a bloodless operation, to be sure. Any UN/EU casualties resulting from Hezbollah's attempt to reclaim its "launch pad" will trigger France to retaliate against Syria... That said, I still cling to my "phoney war" analysis:
