If I compare the RNG.wt to SKR.wt.

SKR price 2x is 24.82 The intrinsic value of its warrant.
WT. price 2.55 with a strike of 12.38 should be 12.44 which is about the same as the rng .wt at about 5 to 1 leverage.

Or did I blow the calculation? SKR.wt has a lessor time value.

I have both wts. the SKR.wt I got first day at 1.40 and my avg. on RNG.wts is .38

I do think RNG.wt is the better of the two because of time value and co. potential.Thanks to you and koan for keeping this front and center.

Any idea on when the new MR.wt.a will start to trade?

< "If the stock doubles (2x) to C$7, the intrinsic value of the warrant would be C$2, which is 4x its present price." >

This sounds great.!

Tyke, do you feel big unstoppable rush, to explain, how to get intrinsic value? <vbg>

This is something I didn't 'get it' yet. When I was buying EPM warrants some year ago at 0.39, they were very undervalued. Now, year later, they are very overvalued while only up some 20% from then. Company is better in the meantime. I'm expecting, stock price will go up sooner or later. (ask N.Wayne Agee if you don't believe me!!!) lol , no serious, company stands better but warrants are now way overvalued.

So, is there any easy way, khmm, bozo way, how to calculate intrisic value for warrants?

So far I was using this logic - if stock will go up, warrants will go too, a ittle faster, better, so buy them instead. But it's good to know leverage and potential & possible reward - PPR :) (so PPR for RNG.wts is 4 bagger lol)

(see, I just wana avoid keep asking you in the future: "is this warrants good deal?")

<vbg>

"It seems to me one buys warrants only because of the leverage"
Don't forget volatility.

Given the yeehaw! example of a stock doubling (everyone sure seems casual about that assumption!)...look at AEM vs AEMLW:
AEM = 40.65
AEMLW = 22.54
The warrant is for 19.00 (Nov 07).

If, using round numbers, AEM goes +40 and AEMLW goes +40...my 22.54 becomes 62.54, which isn't even 200% gain.
BUT...now look at a 1 year chart of the two...and focus on May, Sept and Dec.

I don't care if the stock ever doubles as long as the stock/warrants keep moving up and down like that. I don't catch the bottoms or tops, but I catch enough.

I guess you could still just call it leverage (and it obviously requires trading vs holding), but it doesn't expect/need a stock to double to be fun/major profitable.
....which addresses your point "one might as well hold the stock". I routinely benefit from 2-3X volatility and at half the price of owning shares, without expecting a double....so why would I ever buy the stock?

I'm probably just babbling "we already said/know that" crap, so just for giggles....some Steven Wright "isms"
