You make a good point.
Today, here in South Florida, cleaners demand and get, $15. per hour to clean a home in Miami and surrounding areas. I doubt any of them have a green card either. 10-$15 years ago it was $4-$5 an hour, so if your assets haven't grown by 3X (using that measure) NET of CG your losing purchasing power.
Of course most owners have seen their properties rise that much or more.
