I don't see any evidence of unusual temperature effects, really. Say could you open a window? It's hot in these north facing rooms this time of year.. and get me a new block of ice for the fan..

Ice cream sales are up over last January, but that could be a demographic change thing..

YOu hit the nail on the head LC. And exactly what I would expect form a geek-lol. I posted much the same thing before I read your post.

Mankind has to manage the entire ecology of earth, including the weather.

People must learn to think in a larger way if we are to suvive as a species. And nature does not give a chit whether we survive or not-lol.

I think the perfect example is gay bashing and racism being exactly the same, yet most people cannot make the connection.

In case you haven't noticed, LC, we are in the middle of "horrendous ecological disasters and species die-offs" - this ongoing devastation predates the latest climate scare. There is absolutely no doubt that the success of human beings in spreading over the planet is the direct cause of the extremely high rate of species extinction that is occurring. The main factor is habitat destruction. Globally higher temperatures will create better conditions overall for other life forms. Some will suffer - e.g. polar bears - but why focus on them? Better to focus on those we are already pushing to the brink all over the world though our expansion. Here is a semi-humorous line of argument: is this warming bad for human beings? If you believe it is, then you should also believe it's good for most other species, since our success is their death sentence.
