Chindia has held down prices -- they are using a thirty year window to develop their economy based on earnings from their role as an export platform. By mobilizing relatively cheap resources they can keep us from feeling the pain until they get up to steam. That is the difference between Vietnam and today with Iraq. When the war bills come due and the tax cuts bankrupt Washington, our prices will show the true cost of this period of time -- soaring inflation.
