And if they provided proof, how would you know it was valid? Well we get daily body counts now from somewhere. I don't know if they are valid, or not. It seems to me if the surge is going to "clear and hold" sections of Baghdad, we should be able to have body count numbers in the cleared and held sections which are either below the uncleared sections, or are below the numbers that were in the specific section prior to it being cleared and held. Sure, the administration could lie and make up numbers, but that's tough. If they say an explosion on ABC street killed 4 people and 14 bodies arrive in the morgue, someone will cry foul.
