Because the premise of the war was the kidnapped soldiers.


As I said, Israel did a fine job of discouraging future raids on its soldiers. Score, Israel 1, raiders 0.

I think Israel did a pretty good job of showing the anti-Israel masses surrounding Isreal what it will do if they continue attacking Israel. Hezbollah probably won't raid into Israeli territory and grab 4 Israeli dudes again anytime soon, unless they want another month of bombs to reign down on Lebanon.
Ah! yes, it also showed how weak it is too.


Ha! You've been reading too much analysis and doing too little thinking for yourself. That's like saying the insurgency in Iraq shows how "weak" the US is. The next time that Israel and Hezbollah go to war, in which region do you want to be - weak little Israel or Southern Lebanon?
