No it is "I hope my child loses so that future generations and the present generation will be safer, and will be protected from violent actions." It protects society, and thus protects my other children and my family, as well as friends, and millions of people I do not even know, but whose lives are valuable. It is reasonable. It respects the rule of law, and it is love for my family and for mankind. I'm completely comfortable with it.
