The democrats are so quiet because many of them support an attack on Iran. They will probably start protesting loudly only when such an attack opens another Pandora's box.

I don't think the Dems are necessarily quiet, they just get very little media attention. Many Dems have been yelling and screaming about Iraq for years but they were relegated to committee rooms in the basement or Republicans turned off the power to the mikes and to room lights...literally.

Something similar seems to be happening over Iran. It will take some time before the likes of Judith Miller are flushed out of the system.

Republicans have been threatening the media for years now. The corporate media has been rolling over for their thuggishness and it needs time to recover...if it ever will.
