The US Military is tasked with this war. If it can't do it then it needs to let the American Public know why.... it should have beat a hasty retreat in 2003 and, by now, should be screaming to get the hell home, not supporting the CIC and the urge to surge. Armies don't decide when they are deployed and withdrawn, and military commanders do not publicly question the chain of command. They do what they are told to do. The civilian leadership makes the decisions and is responsible for the consequences of those decisions.
