You ignored my questions.

You offer back some verbiage that simply makes an emotional appeal and has nothing to do with our current deficit spending.

I'll try again.

Are we supposed to be sanguine about deficit spending because right now it's a small percentage of GDP? What the heck does GDP have to do with it anyway?

I find this passage from John Maynard Keynes on this topic poignant and directly to the point.

The only problem for you is that paleocons for the most part reject Keynesian economics. It is the neocons who are using the support of paleocons to fight this war. Neocons for the most part dodged fighting when other Americans were sacrificing their lives for their country in earlier wars. Somebody has to do the fighting for Pax Americana.

Pax Americana.

Patriotism.

Global economy.

They don't seem to come together from a right wing perspective.
