The notion that democrats as a group are soft militarily speaking is just a right-wing talking point. " Forget the dems being soft, what about the republican chicken hawks? Wars like sports can be a close contest. In early 1942 things did not look good for the US. I would go to war with the "greatest generation" any day but the boomers and the spoiled generations that followed, i suspect would lag enough behind the GG that we could have lost that war. I dont say this with any joy.
