Have no doubts.....that's the turnover rate here.

If you mean 50% of all teachers in your area leave the profession each year, I don't believe you. If you mean 50% leave their specific position I doubt it.


No one ever said in one year. Its 50% in 5 years.

The only "50% turnover" that apparently does exist is 50% of new teachers leaving the profession within 5 years, but that's 5 years not 1, and it only applies to new teachers.

And this is better how? A 50% turnover rate is horrendous whether its for new hires or existing staff.
