I already explained it. I'll explain again. Those flags represent places where the United States has a useful presence. In some places, we have troops. In others, we have permission to refuel, or preposition materiel, or fly over, or dock. These are things you would know if you made an effort to find out. I assumed Dayuhan had this rudimentary knowledge. I also assumed you had this rudimentary knowledge. If not, it's not really my job, or my wish, to take the large amount of time apparently necessary to educate you. But if you're not arguing that the Iranians are going to kick our lily white asses, then this post will serve as a place marker in case you come back later and try to pretend you predicted this. So many people on SI claim credit for supernatural knowledge of events which they don't bother to share with us mortals until many years later.
