I have know Jewish people from a wide variety fo places. The most interesting neighbors in my old neighborhood were a Jewish couple. He was a Biochem professor and she was a biology teacher. They were fun to talk to and very bright. They were both from New York. Their oldest daughter brought a New Yorker home to marry, and he was ok too. There are many people from every religion that qualify as horses rears. My closest Jewish friend is barely a reformed Jew. I avoid discussing politics because he has bought the democrat line hook, line and sinker.
