Ahmedinijad is under extreme from the mullahs and his own people to stop the nuclear madness. Ahmedinijad on the other hand is appealing to them in the name of national pride. Now if Bush threatens them then Ahmedinijad and his message wins. So Bush needs to keep out and let the Europeans deal with Iran especially since his hands are full with Iraq. The Iranians may be aiding the Shias, but so are nations like Saudi Arabia, JOrdan etc. helping the Sunnis.
