personally have not heard Bush "growing bellicose toward Iran"...can you provide quotes to that statement?

Most of the young people there are PRO US.

I haven't personally heard any young Iranians saying that they like the US...can you provide any proof of that statement?

The mullahs are keeping the country under their thumb, and eventually it will explode.

Everyone under 25 in Iran has only known the mullahs to be in power. In 15 years the whole idea of not living under mullahs will be foreign to Iran. If it were going to implode due to mullah rule, it would have already.

The article was an opinion piece and could be considered propaganda since the writer is trying to persuade the reader.

Every few days, the Bush admin., thru the press, charges Iran with meddling in Iraq....supplying both fighters and weapons. There's no effort by Bush to differentiate between the Iranian govt. or a rogue group of paid mercenaries. It sounds and feels alot like the BUILD-UP to Iraq. And remember Iran is the part of the original axis of evil....often referred to as a terrorist nation. The next issue of Newsweek will describe the contingency plans the Bush admin. drew up last year for attacking Iran and a Feb. 21 deadline is approaching for MA to capitulate on Iran's nuclear pursuits. And Bush has said he doesn't favor diplomacy.

No, dems don't want Iran or ANY mideast country to have nukes. Why would you even suggest that? Democrats would simply deal with the situation differently. Engaging Iran diplomatically would be employed. A democratic toolbox contains more than a hammer in it.

In fact, why do you or anyone else here on the Right believe democrats are soft or weak on defending this country? I've heard this forever and yet history doesn't bear this out, I don't think.

Maybe you can give me some facts to support this?
