And let us not forget that somewhere north of 40% of the population is not Persian. The Azeris have been rioting on and off for the last couple of years. I've seen reports of up to 100,000 involved in some instances.

According to Wikipedia: "The main ethnic groups are Persians (51%), Azeris (24%), Gilaki and Mazandarani (8%), Kurds (7%), Arabs (3%), Baluchi (2%), Lurs (2%), Turkmens (2%), Qashqai, Armenians, Persian Jews, Georgians, Assyrians, Circassians, Tats, Pashtuns and others (1%)."

Not quite sure that's true. Familiarity breeds contempt, especially when you toss 20% unemployment (by some estimates up to 50% among those under 30) and 20% inflation into the picture. Iran isn't North Korea, either: satellite TV is common, the internet is available, and there's a lot of communication with the many Iranians abroad.

If the mullahs survived ruling Iran when oil was ~$22 per barrel from 1993 to 2002, they're not going to be troubled by domestic economics when oil is $60 as it is today.

Did you note the report coming from Iran's Parliament, predicting social unrest if sanctions were imposed?

Nope. But like I said, I can't imagine a domestic revolution when oil is $60 per barrel. The revenue stream of the country doubled in the past few years, that's not a recipe for revolution.
