I'll take your word that there's some kind of legislation to allow India to have nuclear technology for power plants.

Nevertheless, India developed atomic weapons without our assistance or approval.

This is exactly the type of thing we're trying to stop.

Let me repeat, it has nothing to do with parity or fairness or ego-enhancement by joining the "nuclear club".

Nobody sane wants to prove what a big man he is by joining the "nuclear club."

It's a ridiculous waste of money and other resources.
