One little gocha they don't tell you about is that if a fish cop stops you, they will ask you to prove that you bought your bait in Canada. You have to keep your receipts or you are in big trouble. Also in Ontario, it is illegal to drink anywhere except within a domicile. Beers in a boat opens you up to some stiff (pardon the expression ) penalties. That said, we cross the boarder a couple of times a year for the past 30 years and have never had a bad experience. Have an honest looking face I guess.
