I never said that, so how am I avoiding anything? So what is your point? I just feel it is my duty, as a citizen, to report scams when I learn about them. I am sorry that you feel it isn't worth your trouble. That is why politicians get away with so much, too many people think it isn't worth their trouble to complain. That allows them to take the stance that "no one cares about that issue". "This was obviously an attempt to absolve him of any hypocrisy in his crusade against global warming. " No it isn't. It appears that, from your point of view, if a person has any concerns over the environment and they do anything but sit still or kill themselves, they are being hypocritical. Why is it my job to prove to you that the system of carbon credits is legitimate? You have provided nothing to challenge the system. I haven't delved into the details of the current market, but I do know that some credits can be generated by funding a tree planting campaign. There are a lot of benefits to such activity, and if all the current system does is fund more of it, it is a net positive in my mind. On the other side, I have you feeling it is a scam. Since you don't feel strong enough to do anything about but make snarky comments, I have to assume you don't take it all that serious of a scam.
