Last time Gore endorsed Dean...this time if he doesn't run I think he may end up endorsing "the winner"...Yet, it will be interesting to see how things play out.

According to these Rasmussen surveys Giuliani is the GOP's strongest candidate and he would beat everyone from the Dem side (including Gore and Obama)...

rasmussenreports.com

Now, I'm still not convinced that Giuliani can get a GOP nomination -- with 3 marriages, a consistent pro-choice stand, and some shady business deals (that Forbes has written about)...The average American has an image of Rudy but they really don't know much about him...Some of Rove's dirty tricksters who now work for McCain will be busy...You can bet that a lot of the primary voters will be reminded about who Rudy really is...Rove's operatives play hardball and we KNOW what they did to McCain in 2000...They won't hesitate to smear Rudy once he makes it "official". I think the fact that the GOP is divided is good for the Dems and I actually feel that a strong candidate (like Gore and maybe Obama) could beat Rudy in a General Election. Yet, I'm quite sure it will be very difficult for Rudy to convince the social conservatives in the GOP that he can be trusted.
