Ahh.....but Reagan started it by monkeying with the tax code.

Besides that, your party has controlled everything for SIX YEARS. Why hasn't it tended to the AMT?

Because it transfers wealth now from the middle classes to help cover the tax cuts for the ultra-rich.

Unless YOU have an adjusted gross income of $150,000 or will receive a huge inheritance in your old age, you are voting against yourself.

The AMT affected only multi millionaires at the outset. It would have worked fine if it was indexed. Nothing intrinsically wrong about it (if indexed) compared to more anti-growth taxes that are still on the books.
