Not since WWII. I thought you were talking about the French. What ally like behaviour did they show during WWII? They could hardly wait to surrender, handed over the French Jewish population with unseemly speed, and tried to steal the possessions of those Jews from the Germans who were already trying to steal them. They then tried to pretend that these were "treasures of the French State" so the rightful heirs couldn't get them back. A few French joined the resistance, most did not.
